Fall DIY Wedding Flowers: Anna's Real Wedding

Moody colors, trailing greenery, and flowers selected (with guidance) by her. Anna’s vision for her DIY wedding flowers at Stone Crossing in Boise, Idaho came together beautifully. The "vision was visioning" with dark green as her main wedding color with rich, colorful blooms rather than soft pastels, plus greenery that draped instead of standing straight up.
Taking the DIY approach gave Anna room to make, ceremony arrangements, garlands, and bud vases while staying intentional about her flower budget. She paired flowers and greenery from Bloom Culture with zinnias she picked at a local U-pick farm, making the process as personal as the finished designs.
Anna’s Experience Making Her Own Wedding Flowers
For Anna, arranging the flowers became one of her favorite parts of wedding planning. In her words:
“The flowers were by far my favorite thing to put together. I DIY’d most of my decor and the easiest and most relaxing thing to play around with were the flowers!”
She processed the flowers at an Airbnb next to her venue and arranged most of them herself, with her mom helping put the bouquets together. On the wedding day, family and friends helped lay greenery on the tables and set everything out.
“I cannot recommend you guys more and am already trying to make up events to make a new flower order! This has easily become one of my most memorable wedding moments that I’m so happy to keep close to my heart forever!”
